Yeah, yeah - I can hear you ask the obvious question:

"Waitasec! You are not an American citizen, nor do you live in the USA - why are you supporting Barack Obama, who is running for the post of the president of the United States of America?"

True. But I am a citizen of the world, and like many of us, I am affected by the absolute insanity that represents the entire George W.Bush presidency.

Since he has come to power, bringing with him a rush of Republicans who support his warped way of thinking, the world has become a very different, uncomfortable place. Personal freedom has taken a backseat, and everything that the USA once stood for is now history. The American people, for no fault of theirs (they never voted him into power), have become the most hated people on earth, because of what Bush and his henchmen have been doing to the rest of the world.

Today, I can no longer travel from country to another, or even one city to another within my own country, without being subjected to humiliating, invasive searches. I cannot carry a tube of toothpaste, or a bottle of aftershave lotion. My nailclipper is now a Weapon of Mass Destruction, and I am searched at every airport.

You are guilty unless proven innocent.

All this is not because some extremist may decide to blow up a plane (and I sincerely hope that never happens), but because the Bush administration mandates it. If you do not fall in line, you risk being attacked - either militarily, or economically. It's the "With us or against us" principle.

This must end.

Even though Bush cannot run for a third term (he would have, had he managed to modify the constituency), his party would continue to inflict upon all of America and all of the world the same "ideals" Bush stands for, should they return to power.

"So why Obama? Why not Hillary Clinton? She is a Democrat, too!"

Nothing personal, it's just that Mrs.Clinton represents to me the thing that is truly wrong with the world today - she is a professional politician. The methods she uses don't differ much from those used by Bush in the past, and frankly I believe it is time for a younger person to take charge.

"Are you biased towards Obama because he is black?"

No, I am biased towards Obama because he doesn't campaign with empty promises and meaningless gestures - he uses the words that have been part of my life for as long as I can remember:

"Yes, We Can!"

Anyone who thinks that positive, and inspires so much confidence in people, is the right person for the job.
